Where They Found Her

Molly is a freelance journalist for the local newspaper. Usually writing pieces about local activities she is called by her boss that the police found a body down by the river and there is no other newspaper person available in town. On the search for news she finds out the body is that of a baby. This is hitting close to home as Molly lost a child herself and has been depressed for a while after that. Wanting to prove that she is fully recovered from that loss she throws herself into finding details and more background of the murder slowly unravelling a lot of the little towns secrets.

I had a difficult time getting into the book as it is everything in writing I do not like. Multiple points of view, newspaper articles, interviews, different styles every other page. But having the time to read I decided to pull trough and eventually I got in a flow with reading and I am glad because the book is worth it!
I liked Molly. Her whole life has been thrown upside down and she really wants to fight to get back on her feet. Though still having doubts herself after that difficult period in her life I felt she was getting stronger and willing to fight. It was interesting following her trough that journey,
Sandy was a really interesting character. I had a hard time guessing her age at the start making it difficult to give her a spot in the story but once that mystery was solved it was clear she was another strong woman. Though I love it when woman stand up for themselves and do not let man say what they want it was a bit to much maybe as the male characters in this book all had a nasty streak in their characteristics. I made me feel a but uncomfortable.
Though some of the mysteries can be guessed early one there is so much going on in this small closed community it kept me captivated the whole time.
